Cathy was born in Mainland China, and moved to Vancouver, Canada at the age of 6. She began learning piano since the age of 4 as well as the flute and guitar during her high school years.

 

She is very passionate in learning foreign languages and gaining international experience abroad, having traveled to 8 countries to date. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, studied German 12 in high school, and continues to practice Korean after spending a year in South Korea as a EFL teacher for the Ministry of Education.

She graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Criminology major and Sociology minor in 2016. She is aiming to develop her career in community re-integration and social work with vulnerable populations involved in the criminal justice system.

 

She believes that every individual, from all walks of life are able to contribute positively to society with a sufficient amount of support.  As a result, she is volunteering with Corrections Canada and the John Howard Society to gain experience in working in the field. She hopes to get her Masters of Social Work to achieve her career goals.

Cathy is also passionate about art and photography.  She enjoys working with SFX makeup, digital illustration, as well as photo editing and retouching. Her creativity is shown in a personal BlogSpot that has generated almost 500,000 views to this date.
