Originally from Venezuela, Andrea moved to Montreal, Canada at seven years old and had to face the different culture, the English and French. No matter how difficult the future seemed, her parents stood strong in front of multiple adversities in order to give their family a better life.

 

Following their values, she stayed determined to do her best at every single opportunity she could get. With her love of sciences, she aspires to become a forensic doctor and be able to give back to her loved ones.

 

Her parents and family are the solid foundation of her personality; she widened her loved ones by including her coaches who gave her the love of Flag football. Winning the national Flag football championship back in 2014, she became an inspiration and a positive leader to the future players. This passion also introduced her to the various injustices a woman needs to confront during her whole life either socially, economically and politically.

 

She aspires to make a difference in people’s journey, but more specifically to pass on the passion of fighting for who you are, to make a change and to stay positive every step of the way.
